Classy Chacewater capture Falmouth Cup

FALMOUTH Bowling club hosted the Falmouth Cup on Saturday afternoon between Chacewater and Redruth – the two teams who have bowled extremely well on the Falmouth green this year – so it was a fitting climax to the competition.

As this dim and dismal summer drags towards its dreary end thoughts turn once more towards the rugby season, and what an exiting prospect it is for Penryn. As reported in an earlier article work has continued throughout the summer at the Memorial Ground, with redecoration and improvements in the Saracen Bar, an enlarged kitchen, repainted and upgraded changing rooms, and the usual treatments of the club’s pitches. On the plus side, At least the wet weather has helped to create three lush playing surfaces.
